You are a loner, simply chasing a rabbit to get food. You push yourself until your paws barely touch the ground, focusing solely on the rabbit. The rabbit heads down a bank and you follow. Suddenly there is no ground underneath your feet and you are thrashing in the water as you have run off the bank and fallen into the river, foolish and not watching where you were going in pursuit of the rabbit. You thrash as the swirling water rises around you taking you farther and farther away from home. The current creates a huge wave and your head goes under, everything begins to fade. . . When you come to you are lying in a camp of cats with a pure black tom looking down at you, his eyes intelligent and unreadible. He begins to speak to you. "Hello. I am Shroudedstar. We are ForestClan. Dare to take the risk and become one of us?"

A kittypet by the name of Daisypaw has joined us. She's quite moody but hopefully with some trust she'll find a good home here and become a great warrior. Quickstep and Shiningstep have just returned to camp with some very disturbing news. Shroudedstar and Honeywhisker are both dead. Who's to blame? Is it MoorClan? We've been on thin ice with them but did anyone think they'd go this far? With our leader and deputy gone who will lead us? StarClan help us. StarClan save our souls.
